Hi, I would like to make the 2 meter antenna out of rabbit ears but I couldn’t tell by the picture how the coax is connected. Is one side the center of the coax and the other side the sheild that connects to the rabbit ears screws? Please let me know asap if you can.

    Thank you for your time

    Tim

    Hi 9w2WTF,
First of all great job on your site.It is wonderful.
I would like to share with you how to increase the computer PSU power supply to 13.8VDC there is one simple modification .Which i can share with you.
plus you need to add a resistor of 33ohm 5watt to the 5volt (red ) and black . It depend on the Resistor if you put lower the value the 12vdc output will increase but the resistor will be too hot. I would say 18ohmalso ive tried. You need to try and rnd yourself. Do email me so that i cant reply to you how to increase the 12VDC to 13.8VDC .Anyway all the best on the site . 73 9W2MTX.

    Salam.

Nice to see someone who’s willing to delve into the technicalities of ham radio. Excellent work.

Fyi, I just sat for the RAE exam yesterday 16 Dec 09! Was pestered by my sister and her husband, both members of PERAMAH.

my neighbor has recently put up several antennas on his roof: rods, cone-like, loops, etc.

Do you what these could be for? I’m asking because I’ve started having trouble with my FM signal (interference.)
    I live in the US.
I don’t want to blame him unfairly, but can roof antennas cause FM interference?
    Thank you.

    Hi 9W2WTF,

    I’m Paul, N1AUS / VK5PKM from OKLAHOMA, USA.

I collect Ham Radio Car License Plates and noticed your sticker.

    I was wondering 3 things:

    1. Am I able to get a sticker of your callsign to add to my collection?

    2. Does Malaysia have Ham Radio Car License Plates at all that they issue?

    3. Do all Malaysia Hams have these stickers available to them?

Thanks for your time and Happy New Year for 2010 !

Hello, I want to build your 6 element yagi to try to receive the International Space Station. My question is how is the driven element fed? Split with open line? gamma match? At 50 ohms I guess some kind of coax match. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Best Regards

    Dear Fellow Amateur,
I have a question about the ten-meter loop antenna project. Referring to the balun near the point where the coax connects to the antenna: What does ’3 gulugan berdiameter’ mean? Is the diameter of the balun 1 inch or 1 foot?
    Thanks and 73,
    Howard, N4KYW

  18. Howard, N4KYW | October 7th, 2010 at 1:26 am

In the diagram for the simple 10-meter loop antenna, where the coax connects what is meant by “3 gulungan berdiameter 1″?
I think it means “3 turns 1 inch in diameter,” but 1 inch diameter seems too small to achieve with coax. Could it be 1 foot in diameter?
    Thanks and 73
